WHAT IS ART?
Art is where a blank piece of anything becomes a mirror reflection of your soul. It’s where abstract thought becomes defined, from thin air to physical, bold reality. Art is the legacy of our ancestral savors, and the energy captured are those "ah-hah" moments of small mental euphorias that are silent, but you, the viewer, can feel the hidden energy in the final work that sits before you. At the heart of Sandro's artistic vision lies the unwavering belief that art can revolutionize and uplift humanity.
Meet Sandro Tchikovani, a human defined by his ability to express himself in a brave, bold way, showing his inner thoughts with no timidness or shame. Sandro loves the beauty of the entire experience trapped in the final completion of a work of art. No different than building a plastic model car, except Sandro builds a mental picture of his idea using 80% of his mental faculties. Deep in thought, he uses the last 20% to collect and manufacture all the parts to assemble his creations.
The moment of creation is the culmination of Sandro's intuitive process, driven by his gut, heart, and intellect. And in one final swoop, a work is finished. It’s that climax that challenges the viewer to feel the power of his expression.
As a native San Franciscan, Sandro's artistic journey began in his youth, where he was drawn to the vibrant streets of the city. He found his voice in the world of graffiti, using markers and spray paint as his delivery mechanism to magnify his passion through the exploration of letters and advertising his graffiti pseudonym, MISK1.
In his youth, Sandro explored various artistic disciplines, including ceramics, wood shop, photography, printmaking, figure drawing, painting, and lapidary classes. This bohemian approach to art encouraged his creative growth and laid the foundation for his future artistic endeavors.
Throughout his career, Sandro has worked with top companies, including Foote Cone and Belding, where he supported the Levi's Design team, and OTCXN, where he served as Senior Lead Art Director. With over 23 years of experience, Sandro has established himself as a visionary artist, fueled by an unrelenting passion for creative expression.
From fine art, graphic design, industrial design, and more, Sandro is a true Renaissance man. His artistic style is characterized by its boldness, innovation, and emotional depth. Sandro's creative process is a deeply personal and intuitive one, driven by his gut, heart, and intellect.
